Eddi Fiegel is a multi-award-winning arts and travel journalist and author. She has written critically acclaimed biographies of film composer John Barry and 'Mama' Cass Elliot of The Mamas and The Papas as well as books on Madonna and Cher.
Her books have been described as ''exceptional', 'compelling', 'entertaining', 'illuminating' and 'extremely well-researched' by the likes of The Times, The Observer, Mojo Magazine and REM's Peter Buck.
As a journalist, she specialises in the arts, music, film, travel and food.
Her work has appeared in national newspapers, magazines and websites including The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The FT, The i, The Art Newspaper, National Geographic Traveller, Wanderlust and Mojo magazine.
Previously a BBC radio reporter, Eddi has also presented radio documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and hosted panel discussions and ‘Screentalks’ at London’s BFI Southbank and Barbican Centre.

For her biography of ‘Mama’ Cass Elliot - Dream A Little Dream of Me, her interviewees included David Crosby, Graham Nash, Michelle Phillips, John Sebastian, the late former US Senator George McGovern, Denny Doherty, Zal Yanovsky (of The Lovin Spoonful) and Tim Rose.
As John Barry’s biographer, she also specilaises in film music, and her feature subjects have included Lalo Schifrin, Ennio Morricone - both of whom she interviewed and Bernard Herrmann.
More broadly, she specialises in cultural travel, family travel, sustainability and food and drink and has covered worldwide destinations including US cities such as Los Angeles, Atlanta and Memphis, the Caribbean (Jamaica), Norway, France and Spain.

She was a regular guest on BBC 6 Music's The Freakzone and has contributed to BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour and The Reunion, as well as presenting the documentary 'John Barry - The Lost Tapes.'
In 2024, as part of the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank’s John Barry film season, Eddi hosted a panel discussion - Spies, Swingers and Shadows: The Films and Scores of John Barry, with Bob Stanley, Neil Brand and Nainita Desai.
She also introduced a screening of Goldfinger and took part in a panel discussion as part of the BFI Southbank’s Philip Glass season.
